Hunter Kendrick

Veterinary Assistant

Hunter Kendrick, a proud Danville, VA native, has always had a passion for animals. Growing up surrounded by pets and starting to help in veterinary offices at just 11 years old, he knew early on that his career path would involve caring for animals.

Hunter was homeschooled for much of his education, where he gained practical life skills such as fishing, gardening, and woodcutting, before graduating from Chatham High School in 2018. He credits his strong work ethic and compassion to the influence of his grandparents, Kenneth and Bettie Powell, and to Gilbert and Billie Brantley, who were like grandparents and role models to him.

As a veterinary assistant, Hunter is dedicated to creating honest and friendly connections with clients. His goal is to make pet owners feel supported and confident, knowing that he is deeply invested in their pets’ well-being.

When he’s not at work, Hunter enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, and watching movies. He’s also a devoted pet parent to an energetic cat and three birds — a canary, dove, and finch. Hunter’s motivation stems from his family’s example of hard work and selflessness, values he carries with him every day in his role at the clinic.
