Maddy Ellis is originally from North Carolina and brings a lifelong love for animals and a strong sense of compassion to her role as a Veterinary Assistant. She is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program at Penn Foster and is on track to graduate in December 2025. With an eye on possibly attending veterinary school in the future, Maddy is driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and their people.
Maddy’s love for animals runs deep, inspired in part by her childhood role model, Steve Irwin, and the unforgettable moments spent riding in the car with her dog or grabbing ice cream with her dad after school. These early experiences helped shape her nurturing spirit and lifelong mission: to be a comforting presence for pet owners and an advocate for animals in need.
She believes in creating family-like connections with clients — providing not only expert care but also a space of empathy, trust, and understanding. Her goal is to ensure every patient feels safe and every pet parent feels supported.
Outside of work, Maddy loves staying active and enjoying life to the fullest. You can often find her playing soccer, spending time at the beach, or bonding with horses. Her own animal family includes Kayden, a 5-year-old Beagle; Zeus, a 5-year-old German Shepherd; Blowfish, a 2-year-old hedgehog; and Kramer, a 2-year-old lionhead rabbit.
Family is a big part of Maddy’s story. She’s incredibly proud of her dad, Stephen Ellis, who left home at 21 to pursue his NASCAR dreams — ultimately winning four championships and earning a spot in the museum in Welcome, NC. His determination and success taught Maddy that chasing your dreams may not be easy, but it’s always worth it. His influence, along with the love and traditions of her close-knit family, continues to inspire everything she does.
From her New Year’s family feasts to her deep-rooted dedication to teamwork and care, Maddy brings heart, grit, and a whole lot of joy to the Danville Family Vet team.
