Shaelyn Leonard is a passionate and caring Pet Hotel Attendant at Danville Family Vet, where she combines her lifelong love of animals with her commitment to providing the best care possible. Originally from Julian, NC, Shaelyn now lives in Ruffin, NC. Having grown up on a horse farm, she developed a strong bond with animals from an early age, which led her to pursue a career in animal care.
Shaelyn is a graduate of Rockingham County High and is planning to become certified in grooming. Her fondest childhood memories include spending time with her grandparents on their farm, which instilled in her a deep sense of responsibility and the value of living in the moment. Inspired by her grandfather, who always maintained a positive attitude, Shaelyn brings that same warmth and optimism to her work with pets.
Shaelyn’s goal is to treat every pet in her care as part of her own family, providing them with love, attention, and a safe environment. Outside of work, she enjoys riding four-wheelers, fishing, listening to music, and hanging out with her dog, Nala Dale. She is also an accomplished athlete, excelling in softball, basketball, and volleyball.
