Grooming That Supports Your Pet's Health

Professional grooming does more than keep your pet looking great. Routine grooming helps remove loose hair, prevent painful matting, maintain healthy skin and ears, and gives our experienced groomers the opportunity to identify concerns that may need veterinary attention.

Because grooming is performed within our veterinary hospital, you can feel confident knowing your pet has access to experienced medical professionals if questions arise during their visit.

FAQs

If your pet has a tangled coat, long nails, excessive shedding, an unpleasant odor, dirty ears, or overgrown hair around the face or paws, it’s probably time to schedule a grooming appointment. Regular grooming also helps maintain healthy skin and coat condition between veterinary visits.

Most dogs that do not shed need to be groomed every 6 weeks. This can vary with the dog or with the type of haircut you prefer. Many people like to keep their cats’ hair clipped short as well. Come see one of our groomers with your dog and we will get you set up with what is right for your situation.

Absolutely. Even pets with shorter coats can benefit from bathing, brushing, nail trims, ear cleaning, and routine skin and coat maintenance that may be difficult to perform at home.

Matting can be uncomfortable and may lead to skin irritation if left untreated. Our grooming team can assess your pet’s coat and recommend the safest, most comfortable approach for removing mats and restoring coat health.

While no grooming service can eliminate shedding completely, regular brushing and coat maintenance can significantly reduce loose hair around your home and help keep your pet’s coat in better condition.

Arrive with any information about your desired haircut or grooming preferences, and let us know about any health concerns, sensitivities, or special accommodations your pet may need. Our goal is to make every grooming visit a positive experience for both you and your pet.

As part of a full grooming, your groomer will do a rough clip to get the hair to a shorter length and then give your dog a full bath, clean the ears and trim the nails. Now fully clean and dry the groomer will do the finishing work that makes your dog look and feel like a new pup.

In addition, there is a wide array of additional services that you can choose to have to make your pet’s day special.
